SHAH ALAM: Umno VPs, Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein and Datuk Seri Ahmad Zahid Hamidi switched portfolios in the new Cabinet as announced by Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak this afternoon.
Hishammuddin followed his cousin footsteps to head the Defence Ministry while Ahmad Zahid takes over the reign at Home Affairs Ministry.
As I had posted earlier about the five possible candidates for the two posts, any of them could be handed the ministerial posts and the announcement this afternoon had confirmed it.
I had a few hours before the announcement predicted Hisham will stay on at Home Affairs while Shafie Afdal was going for defence. I was completely wrong then
