Motorcycles for Red Warrior Acrobatic Team, More Support Vehicles

SHAH ALAM: The Procurement Division of the Defence Ministry has issued a tender for the supply and delivery of fourteen motorcycles for the Army Red Warrior acrobatic team. The Red Warrior is a unit under the Military Police Corps or Kor Polis Tentera Darat. It is based at the KPTD headquarters camp at Kem Genting Klang, near Taman Melawati, Selangor. The motorcycles are part of the support vehicles procured under the 2024 budget.

A new headquarters for KPTD is being built at Si Rusa, Port Dickson under the built and transfer method. Once the new camp is completed, the Red Warrior and other units of KPTD – including its training branch – will move to Si Rusa.

Anyhow of the fourteen motorcycles, two will be 250cc scramblers which will be used for acrobatic displays.

There is a requirement to equipped the Army with motorcycle scrambler 250 cc acrobatic whichshall be used for demonstration purpose. Motorcycle scrambler 250 cc with capability that can perform various shows and stunts during performance.

Operating Condition. 2.1. Mobility. It shall be able for off-road, street use and stunt performance. 2.2 Robustness. It shall be highly durable to withstand rugged usage. 2.3. Maintainability. It shall be easily maintained, cost effective and in compliance with the motorcycles Life Cycle Cost. 2.4. Transpotability. It shall be able to transport by air, sea and land.

Another two will be 450cc scramblers.

The Red Warrior acrobatic team usually put up their displays during the Merdeka Parade and the Armed Forces and Army open days.

    Because nobody goes into business to do a charity. Heck even certain NGOS makes profits doing what they do. Another thing is ‘free’ sponsorship isnt free, it WILL come with a string attached tied to a long kabel.

    Not always. I can think of examples in which there were no “strings attached” per see.

    No one can guarantee it, can you? When few years down, they come collecting favours, we are ‘obligated’ to give. There are no free lunches. So lets keep everything above board and transparently clean. SG Govt never expects or request their public & private sectors to make ‘sacrifices’ to the nation and so should we.
