SHAH ALAM: LCS report out today. The Public Accounts Committee will tabled its report on the Littoral Combat Ship (LCS) project today in Parliament. It is unclear however whether the full report will be make public after its tabling. I am guessing that for the next few days we have to rely on the debate to get some information on the contents of the report.

An eagle eye view of the BNS facilities in Lumut. Note the hangars at the end which was built specifically for the LCS using the funds of the project. Behind the first LCS, is likely KD Kasturi undergoing a refit since late 2021. BNS

From the Star

KUALA LUMPUR: A report on the scandal involving the multibillion-ringgit procurement of Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) will be tabled in the Dewan Rakyat today, says Public Accounts Committee (PAC) chairman Wong Kah Woh.

He said the report would be placed on the tables of MPs so that they could study the report.

“The report contains 250 pages which does not include text from the Hansard proceedings.

“It will contain several improvements with regard to its contents to make it easier for the public to understand the issues contained in the PAC report,” he told reporters at the Parliament House media centre here yesterday.

Sea water was sprayed on Maharaja Lela and fireworks boomed as part of her launch gimmick in 2017.

I am not purview to the report but I expect it not to be the last word on the project. If the report is made public I will of course published it here. For more on the LCS, check out the Malaysian Defence archives.
