SHAH ALAM: RMN has appointed a new Warrant Officer of The Navy (WOON) – the highest ranking non commissioned officer – in a ceremony on September 9. Warrant Officer 1 Mohd Osis Onan replaced Warrant Officer 1 Noorfazli Ariffin as the eight WOON.

The new WOON is rated as a communication specialist but also has qualified as a submariner as shown by the dolphin badge on his uniform. Unfortunately, until today RMN has yet to publish the new WOON biodata. Once it is published this post will be updated.

The former WOON, Noorfazli, 45, was promoted to the post on September 29, 2021. He joined RMN in 1999 and trained as a helicopter technician but moved on to qualify as an air quarter master (AQM) on the Super Lynx. It is likely he is retiring from service after handing over the post.

Tahniah diucapkan kepada PW I KOM (KS) Mohd Osis bin Onan dan buat PW I TLS (AQM) Noorfazli bin Ariffin, terima kasih atas segala pengorbanan sepanjang perkhidmatan.
