I don’t want to say that our GGK must have a fancy look like johnrambo had said but it’s true that our unit is a bit loose on equipment and gears but however, I bet you don’t need to wear that kind of gear at this kind of situation especially during this kind of event.

kinda sad to see our special forces got nothing special unless rambo type appeal. A rambo will not survive in real world. Maybe a mk 18 with scope, laser and silencer, plate carrier, fast helmet with liberator headset and nvg will make them look good.

A big disappointment actually especially the demo.. mostly recycled stuff. Why don’t they show us more firepower such as live precision firing of rockets or machine guns from the helo’s at targets…

Firing live ammo especially large calibre ones at a public beach? I dont think so

shed,
I believe you are not familiar with Malaysian Army events. Usually they draw on the units based in the immediate area. It takes a lot of effort to move a 45 ton tank.
For me, the more important questions are organisation rather than equipment. My regret is not being in position to access anyone and ask questions.
Marhalim,
Thank you for featuring my guest post. I hope you found it interesting. One thing is the brass went not to PUSASDA but perhaps to TRADOC. I saw that they continued on the road south passing the juction to PUSASDA.
As stated, my top question is why these key rapid reaction units are not placed under Army Field Command together with the rest of the army.

The reception and press conference was held at PUSASDA, The PAC (and some units of the GGK and other units of the RMAF and RMN) comes under the purview of the PAT, who can order them to mobilise quickly.

Well, good thing the pictures and the videos are posted around the net.
Also, I’m guessing that the optic for the M4A1 is in a small number for a certain unit only for the meantime.
And like Shed said, NO TANKS?
