SHAH ALAM: Brigadier Sauffi Omar, 53, has taken over as the commander of the Third Infantry Brigade based at Penrissen Camp today. He took over from the acting commander Colonel Mohamad Rosly Darasid. The Royal Ranger Regiment officer is the 40th commander of the brigade.
General Officer Commanding First Division Major General Fauzi Khamis witnessed the hand-over ceremony. According to Borneo Post:
In a statement, the Third Infantry Brigade said there was also a parade involving 15 officers and 256 personnel of different ranks.
After the parade, Mohd Sauffi was formally interviewed by Mohamed Fauzi to symbolically start his leadership as commander.
Mohd Sauffi was born on Sept 1, 1971 in Petaling Jaya, Selangor.
He is married to Sarawakian Dayang Satiah Awang Siee, who was appointed as Third Infantry Brigade’s Armed Forces Family Welfare Body (Bakat) chairperson.
Mohd Sauffi has served for 34 years in the army and was promoted to Brigadier General on May 29. He previously served on three occasions in Sarawak: as a platoon leader in the Fourth Royal Ranger Regiment in 1993, staff officer of the Third Infantry Brigade headquarters in 1995, and commanding officer of the Third Royal Ranger Regiment in 2013.

So he was promoted as Brigadier General so he could head that brigade. I wonder why there was an acting position by the Colonel? The previous head retired early?

Ahh okay. It said First Division, I didnt realise it was the 3rd brigade CO.
It's already june now. Still no words on Blackhawk?
nope
I would suggest to TDM drop that vendor and go with the 2nd best bidder with Blackhawk. For sure there are plenty of dealers that can obtain stocks of used Blackhawks, they aint the only one. Otherwise, scrap the leasing deal and seek for retired Lima Blackhawks thru EDA.
